The 6505+ 112 combo has always been made in China since its incarnation. The rest of the series moved over to China sometime within the last 5 years or so. In comparison to many other Chinese made amps, Peaveys are above the bar.

Peavey has had an amp model called the Classic non-stop for nearly 40 years, and seriously, they are ALL sleeper amps that sound good on the cheap. My personal favorite would be the dual 6L6 powered tweed Classic 50 the 2x12 version is good, but the 4x10 version is just plain excellent.

All peavey products are worth every penny they charge. Well priced, well built. I absolutely love the t40 bass, they are excellent instruments. Theyre made cheaply, but solidly and if youre into modding, thats all that matters.

Is Peavey a good speaker?
Peavey equipment is the most reliable brand in audio equipment that Ive ever owned. If youre are on a tight budget or just starting a band dont bother with Behringer speakers and run if you see the name Nady. Buy Peavey and give them to your grandchildren when they start a band. They will still sound good.
