I think the best response is a simple Thank you. If you have better photos than the ones theyre complimenting, you might even say, Thanks - Id love to show you some of my better work too. But always be thankful for the compliment even if you dont feel the work is as good as they think it is.

Email is the best method of contact. For me personally, I prefer email. When I receive a direct message through Instagram I will always redirect the client through my website to the contact form. However, if its not a wedding inquiry then I will have the client just send me a direct email.
